Whenever I compact a database on Windows 2000 server with
SP3 and Access 2000 the result file has only administrator
and system listed in the security tab.
The folder has everyone with all rights. The original
database has everyone with all rights. If I create a file
from explorer it inherits the folder rights. It seems the
compact program is creating a new file and setting the
security programatically.
This is happening on 2 servers I take care of but not
happening on several others and not happening with XP.
