People were telling me that they saw a cool waterfall effect in Aero when
Vista was being demo'd at conferences. This is an effect that was removed
from the beta and RTM releases of Vista, and I was looking forward to seeing
it coming down the pike from Windows Update.
I'm assuming that these people were not talking about just a waterfall WMV
file playing on the desktop (the ability to play videos on the desktop did
indeed come through Windows Updates), but I admit, they might have been; my
friends who saw it demo'd said it was associated with minimizing the
windows, and I took that as something like what you see with Window FX from
Stardock but on steroids, but it could very well mean the
Windows-desktop-as-video feature. *yawn*
That said, has anyone found any good HD-WMV loop videos that do not jump and
are high quality and that work good on the desktop?
