Is that if I use Vista Aero, then I can't use video overlay option? or I can
have some other setting/config to enable BOTH?

I'm using Ultimate 64bit and GeForce 7900GT with 100.65 forceware.

When I enable Aero option (in Appearence Option), I find that overlay can't
operate normally in nvidia control panel.

Yes, Overlay requires Aero to turn to Basic mode. You need to use the more
advanced VMR mode if you can.

Are you referring to adjust video settings in the control panel and the
preview image ? If you check the 3D settings, the rotating nvidia logo also
appears black. The nVidia drivers are not up to par yet . they have released
a 101.41 beta that fixes some of the problems but unfortunately introduced
new ones as well

Oh, okay. I use ATi and Matrox cards. Overlay mode does force Aero Basic
mode, because of the way it works. Most video apps use VMR overlay now.
