I have been having regular blue-screen crashes, all of
which point to problems with a driver. The only one, to
my knowledge, that is not Microsoft certified is one for
an AEI USB to Fast Ethernet Adaptor.
I had no problems for almost 2 years with my current XP
setup, using this driver. I was then forced to re-install
windows. After this re-installation, i regularly get
blue screen errors that indicate a driver problem.
Does anyone have ANY idea what the problem may be?
I am completely up to date with Windows Update and re-
installed the AEI driver from its original source.
NB I'll say again that the particular driver in question
was not a problem originaly. Something happened about 2
months ago that caused me to re-install windows. Whether
this was a virus, or the result of some Windows Update
that made my driver start causing problems , i do not
know.
Any advice would be appreciated, as i am getting bored
with waiting for the next error that will corrupt some
system file (as has happened twice already) and force me
to reinstall.
