....well, my problem is this....for some reason cool-
search.net always opens automatically when i open my IE
browser, and it is set as my home page...and every time
when i open my tools>internet options and set m,y home
page to "about blank", nothing happend, because when i
open IE again it opens that cool-search
automatically....how to delete that from my computer?
thanks in adwance, billy

This is also happening to me. I have even tried blocking
it, but it still happens. What's worse is that every time
my home page changes back, IE opens automatically to
different porn sites, which I am able to block, but after
a few days different ones show up. So far my 10 year
hasn't been exposed to this crap. My antivirus program
does not detect any viruses, so I think it must be
attached to IE. This same kind of thing happened once
before except thru the use of the IE's search button.
Everytime it was triggered several hundred porn windows
opened. I had to uninstall IE completely and then
reinstall it to get rid of the problem. Now after a year
there's this problem. I guess I'm going to have to
uninstall again

Run the Cool Web Search "Shredder"
http://www.merijn.org/files/cwshredder.zip
Unzip the tool, make sure all instances of IE & OE are closed,
hit the executable and follow the prompts.

Follow-up with a scan with SpyBot Search & Destroy or Ad-aware.

Hey Billy,

Becareful, I read today that ad-aware from lavasoft can cause pop-ups
to appear and they apparently lay the blame on some spyware program,
sounds fishy to me. I would un-install ad-aware if I were you, until
they resolve their issues.

Where do you get this crap from? Quote your source, or go away.
