Adware, hum. tried it a year ago and attracted more
garbage to my system so got rid of that real fast. Just
intalled this spy thing from MS and must say it picked up
5 or 10 groups, that Norton I guess missed.. and now am
clean (I guess?) after a couple of rounds of scanning.
Doubt that we will ever be able to keep up with the
techno geeks that are out there messing with code and
just have to assume that we are all at risk, the same as
one may get hot by a bus tomorrow.

I ran the MS version then AdWare and MS missed 9
spybots.. It appears there is a large discrency in what
or what isn't a spyware component..

post your problems to the general group
this group is for MS to make announcements
AFAIK MS doesn't read post here

Have you tried posting your problems
not related to MS AntiSpyware to
news://msnews.microsoft.com

and please don't bother to send me private mail
because I don't check my mailbox regularly

Microsoft Antispyware, in the builds distributed thus far, does not scan for
cookies. Check your list--I'd bet that all 9 of them are cookies (data
miner is another term for a type of cookie)
