Anyone know how I can get rid of ICanNews.

I've gotten rid of BonziBuddy, Aurora, ABetterInternet,
ABI Network and a slew of others by using a conbination
of MSAntiSpyware, Ewido, Spybot, Adaware. They all seem
to miss some of the adware/spyware or they are not aware
of the regeneration after reboot.

FYI- Ewido did the best job

If anyone can help on this one it would be greatly
appreciated.

Go to Tools > Submit Spyware Report... and submit it for
review by Microsoft so they can better detect and remove
it.

Try scanning in Safe Mode (press F8 during reboot before
Windows screen).

If this doesn't work, check c:\windows\prefetch and see
if any files there have filenames containing icannews.
If so, shred them using a freeware file shredder from
http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?
titlename=&author=&desc=file+shred&qt=&ca=&os=128&daysback
=&li=49&dlcount=&dlsize=&swlink=false. You might also
want to see if ABetterInternet is also found there, as I
had problems totally removing it in the past.

If this doesn't work, you can try using CounterSpy,

From Andy:
Download Nailfix to your desktop

Primary:
http://www.noidea.us/easyfile/file.php?
download=20050515010747824

mirror:
http://www.dknoppix.com/cgi-bin/download.cgi?Nailfix

Reboot into safe mode (Reboot and keep tapping F8 then
choose safe mode from the list)

in Safe Mode, double-click on nailfix.bat. Your desktop
and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window
should open and close very quickly.

This will stop and delete nail.exe and svcproc.exe

Then run MS Antispy on a full system scan to remove any
other files.Ewido Security Suite and Adaware SE both
target Aurora so maybe worth trying them if you have more
problems with it.The problem is the random named file in
the system folder which will act as a re-installer each
time you reboot.Plus it changes its name whenever you
reboot.Ewido will remove those entries.Adaware will
remove Bolger and Drpmon.dll so again it could help.
