Adware & Iexplorer Problems

Have had problems for 2 mos now & am committed to resolving them while I
wait out the hurricane in FL!

1) XP w/ Norton Anti-Virus 2004 - scan shows Adware that cannot be deleted.
2) Downloaded SP-2 yesterday.
3) Problem is with Iexplorer - entire system is very slow; when accessing
Internet, receive Microsoft box error msg - "Encountered a problem - send
error report" which then logs off; can't stay on sites for very long without
this occurring (tried to book a ticket out of FL!)
4) Have tried to delete the Adware files thru Windows Explorer, but the same
Microsoft box appears - as if the system is trying to access the Internet.
I have the instructions for the following: Adware.Binet, .180Search,
..Ncase, .MemoryMeter, .SAHAgent, .VirtuMonde.
5) Another problem - I moved a few months ago and cannot locate my system
disks.

Any suggestions, short of a trip to Office Depot?

Thx,
Carolyn

Installing SP2 with a computer that is infected with add/spyware has been
known to cause troubles!.Deleting adware won't do it you need software
designed to remove spyware and the registry entries it creates, Norton drops
the ball on this. These are well known spyware applications and are free to
use.
Each one does a different funtion I suggest you use them all.
