Just how harmful are the following two files:

ADW_LODWARE.A and BHO_NewDotNet.A

I know one can delete them. Is there an easy way to prevent
such guests, assuming they are harmful, from invading one's
PC?

I do have antivirus active and up to date, firewall and an
malware fighting software as well.

Thanks.

An added antitrojan proggy may be helpful (I like BOClean).

Spywareweblaster helps keep the stuff out also. (It's free)

I have a list of good programs on my site that will help you prevent an
infection.A firewall,AV and 1 malware scanner are not enough these days.
