Hello. I have setup a database of books in Excel. Basically the fields
consist of the book title, author's first name, author's last name,
ISBN number, publication date, etc.

As well as those, I have another column called DESC where it contains
the text from the back of the book -- the blurb that summarizes the
storyline.

After I save it as a tab-delimited file, I then import into Access. My
problem is the DESC column is truncated to 255 characters. So more
than half the blurb is cut out.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can work around this?

All programs are the 2003 version.

Thanks in advance.

It's a database application. Do it in Access and use a memo field.
