We'd like to get great grandpa (age 80 next month) a color printer for
his PC. He has a black and white printer, but now that he has a great
grandchild, he'd like to be able to print out color pix for their
refrigerator or whatever.
What I need is a simple to use printer, and maybe one that comes with
some basic picture printing utility that would allow him to print
different sizes from his AOL emails or if I send him a CD with images.
He doesn't have a digital camera, and I don't anticipate him getting
one... so I don't need a camera-docking printer. He might
occassionally want to print a whole web page, otherwise a 4 X 6
printer might've worked. And maybe that's all he needs if we leave
the old printer hooked up to the parallel port and rig a USB cable to
the new printer. I'd prefer sticking with a major brand like Epson or
HP so if he figured it all out, he could print on glossy photo paper
down the road. For now its basically high quality bond.
Thanks in advance for the advice.
