I am looking into building a PC. I want good performance,
mainly for gaming. I want to use AMD for a processor and also want one
of the higher end video cards (preferably Nvidia). Unfortunately, I can
only spend around 1300 dollars. Any advice for those main pieces, as
well as motherboard, power supply, drives, etc?

Is there a good place where I can get an LCD monitor (18 in or higher)
for a good price?
And does the mobo come with all of the other bios chips and needed shit
like that?

Motherboards come with the BIOS chip, cables, etc. You will
need to add the CPU, memory and video card (if not built-in).

There are plenty of places where you can get 19" monitors for
$300 and higher.
What's your budget for the monitor?
Newegg is a good bet if you're shopping online. I'm not too crazy
about their 8 dead pixel return policy, though, since you're at the
mercy of UPS or Fed Ex.

Try here--I buy lots from various vendors as this site finds the deals
for me:

I have an Amd64 3500 2.2ghz with a 7800oc nvidia video card running on a
biostar mainboard nf4st-a9 and it cost me just $750 for all that and 1 gb
of kingston ram and 2 10,000 rpm western digital hard drives.
