Advice flashing DVD drive

Hi,

My "SAMSUNG SD-616F F100" drive is RPC2 locked, I'd like to flash the
firmware to make it region free as I play region 1 & 2 discs frequently. I
went to The firmware page (http://forum.rpc1.org/portal.php) & searched for
my drive, the results gave me two options:

(WinXP update) (PIO-4 version) &
(WinXP update) (Ultra-DMA version)

I've used both versions with sfdnwin.exe which I think is the software to
actually do the flash but the drive is still locked as region 2, can anyone
give my some advice on how to make my drive region free?

Try using Slysoft's "AnyDVD" (www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html) or "Region
Free 3.2", (www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-free.htm). They have a free 30
trial. They won't flash your drive, but you can view any region DVD's using
almost any player.
