I recently allowed the "critical update" to Windows 2000
to "solve" a security issue (that I had never
experienced). Since then, DealHelp and Advertising.com
attack my computer, through all the firewalls, with an
endless stream of popups. I have not yet found
another "update", nor anything in the "knowledge base"
that addresses this.

Anyone have any ideas on how to undo this "fix"?

Did the fix come from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com ? if so, then it
isn't your problem

If it came from elsewhere, then where exactly?
