Advertisements on my screen, etc.

Advertisements popping up constantly on my screen.

I have high speed connection to the internet, I am still
getting a window on my screen asking me if I want to work
off line or try to connect again. This is extremely
enoying because this slows down my connection a lot.

Is there anything I can do to get read of these enoying
problems.

Please help.
