I have noticed a lot of the new advertisment windows open differently. They
will pop up right in the middle of what you are reading. I don't see an "X"
on them so you can close them. You have to wait until they close themselves.
Usatoday.com's website is bad about these. Is there a way to disable this
function? I understand that we get a lot of web material free because of the
advertisers, but at least give me the option to move it out of my way so that
it doesn't interfere with what I'm reading. Has anyone esle seen this issue?

Install WinXP SP2 and all other Critical Updates at Windows Update. SP2
includes a pop-up blocker for IE that should take care of the problem.
