advertisement banner ask for password

Hello,
When a web page is openning, if there is an advertisement banner(which
connects outside the site(like ads.doubleclick.net, ads.msn.net,etc...)), ie
asks for username and password.
It's really annoying, I lowered all the security settings,etc... but its the
same...
Please help...

The display of Web banners and advertising does not require logon access.
The two are unrelated.
Ad banners and the like should be blocked altogether.
Install a HOSTS file to do so, http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

Follow siljaline's advice. Install the HOSTS file I do.
There is also a renhosts.bat file on the site that your can use to toggle
on/off the hosts file.

If you are being asked for password, do not do it.

Check for parasites

Go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads.php#det
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware] or download direct (below):
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates "hijackthis.log")

Next, HijackThis | Config [button] | Misc Tools [button]
Click: Generate StartupList log [button] (generates "startuplist.txt")

Next, go to the below location:

Sign in, then copy and paste both files in your message.
