ADVENT 7113 NOT SHUTTING DOWN PROPERLY

I HAVE A ADVENT 7113 LAPTOP AND LATELY IT DOES'NT ALWAYS SHUT DOWN AND OTHER
TIMES IT DOES AND TAKES AGES AND THEN OTHER TIMES IT DOES IT REALLY QUICKLY !
HAS ANYONE GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO WHAT MIGHT BE CAUSING THIS AND HOW I
COULD RECTIFY IT ? ..LISA
 
Hi Lisa,

You'll need to examine what software is being run when the lag occurs, and
compare it against what is run when it shuts down quickly as it sounds like
a program is not responding to the terminate signal correctly, or did not
properly release system resources when it was shut down earlier.
