Does anyone know if there is any advantage to having one
hard drive parsed into a primary drive: "C" and a logical
drive: "D"? I have a "D" drive that I can keep or delete
and I want to examine my options.

One advantage of having a partitioned drive is, you can save your files to a
partition other than your OS partition so that they are not lost in case you
need to re-format or do some other major repair. Another is, it saves a lot
of time when doing system maintenance, such as defrag, cleanup, plus search
and others.
