It appears that when I select to have the Advanced Tools
feature remove, in addition to other items, the contents
of the Windows Recycle Bin, it does not remove the
contents-- even after a reboot. Has anyone else seen this
issue?

Control panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft Antispyware, Change, update
or you just have to Wait for beta 2 which will improve track eraser and
actually clean all the junk that people can't see.

You can also give www.ccleaner.com a try.
