In OL03 I've ranked my prospects with lettered categories (A, B, C, D,
F) When I go to find all of my A Prospects, Advanced Find pulls up all
of my contacts with a category that contains an "a", such as
"Alzheimer's Mail".
Please Help, thank you in advance.

Why not group by categories? Then you won't have to find anything.

In advanced find, don't use the first tab to define your search, use the Advanced (More? - sorry, using OL 2007 here) tab to define your search by category.

After furious head scratching, jamo2983 asked:

| A, B, C, D, & F are the categories. I'm sorry if I misunderstood you.

Aha, Thank you. I've found that if I put in
"categories -- is (exactly) A"
....I get all the contacts that are not only categorized in my 'A'
category, but are also categorized in other categories.
