Hi,

I have a customer when he clicks on Advanced Find within
Outlook 2000 SP3 it immediately crashes stating
that "OUTLOOK.exe has generated errors and will be closed
by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error
log is being created."

If he tries the same on another machine he gets the same
result. If I login as Administrator and load Outlook on
both machines that he has used I can use Advanced Find
without a problem.

It seems to be something to do with his account or his
data contained in Exchange. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,
Marc Juffkins

Try configuring his mailbox under the administrator
account and see if it still happens.

If yes; the problem is in the mailbox and needs to be
recreated on the server

If no; recreate the mail profile in Control Panel-> Mail-
button Show Profiles.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your posting.

According to your post, only specific user encounters Outlook error.

If I have misunderstood your concern please don't hesitate to let me know.

Based on my experience, this behavior can occur due to causes in specific

Hi Seaver,

Thanks for that, I tried searching for a document that you refer to but
obviously used the wrong keywords.

It was an Act! add-in, which was supposed to be fixed in Act! version 6.0.3
but in my case it didn't fix the problem but disabling the Add-in fixes the
problem with no real loss in functionality.

Thanks for your help!
