Advance Slide Problem

I'm having problems with PPT 2003 on XP. In our PPT presentation, the
first six slides are autorun with Advance Slide to advance after a set
time. This set time is the length of the MP3 audio file. In this case
the first clip is 14 seconds. I set the time to advance slide after 15
seconds. When I view the PPT in Slide Show the first slide won't
advance until 20 seconds have passed. I even change the advance slide
to 1 second and it still takes 20 seconds.

I've doubled checked the length in iTunes and SoundForge and the clip
is 15 seconds.

So, why does PPT wait 20 seconds before advancing to the next slide.

Thanks
Michael Burns

Chances are that PowerPoint is waiting for something to be completed on
slide 1. It will not auto-advance until all animations on a slide are
complete.

Do you have something animating on this slide??

We only have audio playing on these slides. On the other slides with
audio, PPT will advance to the next slide 4 or 5 seconds after the
audio has ended.

Very strange.
