Advance: Creating a Shortcut to outlook contacts onto the Desktop

How do you create a shortcut on your desktop that points
to the contacts. I tried the address book under
username/applicationdata/microsoft/addressbook/*.wab, but
none of my contacts appear. When I go into Outlook,
under contacts, they appear and when I click on the
address book icon, they appear.

Syntax would depend on your OS and Outlook version. For current version:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe" /select
outlook:contacts
