Hi,
I just stubled upon a Windows 2000 domain which has the netbios name in ADUC
and alot of other placed where the DNS domain name should be.
It seems like the upgrade from Windows NT 4.0 Domain to Windows 2000 AD
somehow only got 85% upgraded. I can create users/computers/ou's etc. but
the domain is firm and not firm.com.
I have tried adding a Windows 2003 domain controller (in a desperate hope of
being able to change the domain name that way) but the replication doesnt
work because the domain name is incorrect.
Anyone has ANY ideas how I can solve this ? What I need is a method of
forcing the domain name in AD to change from NetBIOS to DNS.
Thanks in advance.
