I am using Windows 2000 Professional and have a Dynamode ADSL modem
(http://www.dynamode.net/ADSL/M-ADSL-USB-A.htm)

There is no problem when I am logged in as an Administrator, but when
I log in as a Power User for example, I get the message "ADSL DEVICE
NOT AVAILABLE" when I hover my mouse over my modem's icon in the
systray.

Anyone know how I can resolve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

install the device from the adminsitrators profile
Thanks for trying to help.

I have installed the device as an Administrator. The problem is if I
log on NOT as an Administrator. That is when I get the error.

can only suggest install from user profile as well, I was
under the impression that installation from the default
admin account (not an account setup as administrator) made
the device accessible to all users.

good luck

I too was under the impression that installing under the default
administrator made the device accessible to all users. No such luck
with this time at least.

I will try installing under the other accounts and see how it goes.
Thanks for the idea.
