Is there any way to restart the AD after it has shut down
due to a QoS misconfiguration problem?
The ADS says that it cannot find the domain because of the
following issue:

Naming information cannot be located because:
The specified domain does not exist or could not
be contacted.

I have tried the Win2000 tools with no luck at all.
I still get the same type of error message with the ADSI
edit tool.

Thanx,

This shows on DNS configuration problem. Are you sure, that your DNS setup
is ok. Run dcdiag and netdiag from support tools to verify your AD
instalation. Also check your DNS server with nslookup.

didn't understand what you mean by restart ADS ?

I didn't mean to say ADS. It was supposed to say: restart
the AD...meaning get it going again. Sorry
I will check the othere things mentioned in your post.
Thanx.
I just found out that our Main Campus has a Domain on the
Network with the name another IT Network guy told me to
use. So, thus the problems I have had makes since now.
