adress book

I have a large adress book imported from outloo express. In my preferences I
have enabeled the tag for automaticly complete names. Funny enough in windows
mail only the names I have used previously are completed not the namens in
the adress book that I have used in outlooexpress but never used in windows
mail. I use the same adress boo in hotmail and there it works perfectly.
Anyone have a clue?

Yep, that's how it works. Windows Mail keeps a cache of the last 29 email
addresses used, it does not look at Contacts. Upgrading to Windows Live
Mail will solve this because it DOES use your Contacts.

The auto-complete in Windows Mail just doesn't work correctly.
It keeps a separate list of the last 29 addresses you've typed in, including
bad ones.
This list is kept in the registry (in binary).
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Recently Used Addresses

This is one of the features that works properly in the newer Windows Live
Mail.
