Why are you using a PST file with Exchange Server?

Yes gave it a unique name.
migrated data using mail setup in control panel, account settings,
data
files by browsing to the folder containing my outlook.pst (size 1,6
GB)
file
and then restarted outlook.
I have also tried creating the data file from scratch in a new
profile
from
my exchange server but same results.
I,m not allowed to select the folder, it is allready ticked off and
greyed
out in both above cases.
:
When you created the new profile, did you give it a unique name?
How
did
you
migrate your Data file to the new profile? Are you saying that the
profile
contains the Outlook Address Book in Tools > Account Settings >
Address
Book
and yet the properties for your default Contacts Folder do not
allow
you
to
select it as an electronic address book?

Yes also tried making a new folder where all the contacts where
copied,
same
results Outlook only finds some of my contacts randomly.
The adress book is still greyed out in properties folder contacts

Hi
I have created a new profile twice and still my contacts are
not
found
when
creating a new e-mail. I find them if I use the advanced
search
but
thats
tedius. Any suggestions.
:
The ability to remove the Outlook Address Book directly from
an
open
profile
was overlooked and is no longer possible in Outlook 2007.
There
would
be
no
need to remove it unless it wasn't working, in which case you
must
create
a
new profile to restore it.

I removed the profile via mail in control panel and created
a
new
one.
No
change, problem still there.
I'm using exchange server does this affect the problem?
Also using VISTA PRO 32
Thanks
:
The "file" is not corrupt. The profile is. Create a new
one.
