adress bar drop down

how do i get rid of the drop down feature on the adress
bar. i do not want my adress bar to show any previous
history when i am typing in adresses... thanks

In Internet Explorer, select Tools/Internet Options/Content Tab/Autocomplete
Button. Remove the check mark from the "Web Addresses" option. Next, click
the Advanced Tab and scroll down to the Search options and place a check
mark in the "Do not search from the address bar" option.

The drop down menu will still be there, but will only expand if you select
it.
