We have an adp which works with Windows 2000 and Office
XP Pro. But, on PCs with Windows XP and Office XP Pro
the adp runs up to when the user clicks a button which
requires to pull data down from SQL. Then we they
get "Access was not able to perform this operation
because the project is not connected to a SQL server
database".
We perform the following:
Re-installed SQL Connectivity, Installed SQL query
analyzer and performed a successful select statement to
the server. Installed MDAC 2.7. Re-imaged Office XP
Pro. Installed Office XP SP1. Tried to create a new adp
project with existing data and could not connect to SQL.
Mine you on PCs with Win2000 and Office XP it works fine
and on the developers PC WinXP and Office XP w/developer
it works fine.
