adp and subform

I read the above tutorial. I create an Access (Access
2000) project, build an Access form and it allows
manipulation of a single MS SQL server without problem.

I've had good experience to build a form with subform
based on tables that are properly related, provided that
they are normal tables of Access. But I've got
difficulties to use the form wizard to create a similar
one (one that has a subform within the main form).

Does anyone know:
1) do I miss anything? I cannot use the Access form wizard
to build such a form (with subform) to manipulate tables
of MS SQL server 2000.
2) whether I could build the above form manually?
