adobe reader 7.0.5 latest version

Thanks--I was thinking of posting this myself. This update will do 7.0,
7.01, 7.02, or 7.03--so you don't have to go through the whole sequence. It
states that it includes security fixes, and that they recommend it for ALL
users--so I'd put it in.

I have Adobe 7.0 at the moment. Should I un-install that before installing
7.0.5 or will it automaticaly overide 7.0. Thanks for any help.

Hi, me again. Sorry about the double post, but no sooner had I sent the last
post I got a message on my PC to update Adobe Reader. So I updated then was
asked to reboot for Update to finish. It all went well and updated ok. The
thing is though, it put a short cut on my desk top saying 'Adobe Reader 7.0'.
I checked in Add/Remove and it says Adobe Reader 7.0.5. So now I have two
icons on my desk top for Adobe Reader 7.0, but nothing for 7.0.5. Any idea
what has happened here. Thanks again for any help.

Trish just delete one icon. Shortcut icons seldom have the version number
of the software. In fact you can change the name of the shortcut to
anything - "PDF Reader" for example.

You've got 7.05. The only way to see is to go to Help, about--and the
splash that opens will say 7.05. Click that to close it, and you're done.

Get rid of one of the two icons--the older one is the right one, for
sure--not sure whether the new one is just a duplicate--but you don't need
two, and it will say 7.0.
