No thanks, I'll stick with Irfanview:

http://irfanview.tuwien.ac.at/

and XnView:

http://www.xnview.com/

Why? Are the latter 2 programs the same as psAlbum or are you simply
anti-Adobe even if they offer a decent program? Personally, I wouldn't touch
xnview but like irfanview. So, why not psAlbum for other tasks? Is it no
good John, have you even tried it? What is it that you didn't like about the
actual program?

The latter 2 programs can do things that are disabled in Photoshop
Album 2 Starter Edition. Like:

+ Fix lighting and color, and convert to sepia tone or black and white.

+ Create and share slide shows with music, transitions, and captions.

+ View thumbnails in any size with the thumbnail slider (although they
don't use a slider, you can change thumbnail sizes.)

Not only that, but XnView doesn't require installation. Every Adobe
product (excepting Acroread) that I've used clutters up one's hard
drive with .dll files and registry entries that don't go away if you
uninstall the progam. The features that PSAlbum SE 2.0 has that
Irfanview and XnView don't are features that I don't need and am not
interested in.

To be fair, however, I haven't tried PSAlbum SE 2.0, but I once
downloaded, installed and ran a demo of PS Elements and it was not a
good experience.

I didn't like XnView at first either, but then I spent some time
exploring its configuration options and realized that I could do
everything in it that I do in Irfanview. I think that XnView is a
great program if one spends some time figuring out how to use it. And
I was using it with a folder that had almost 3000 .jpg images in it.

YMMV JMO.

John...thanks for the response and, even though you haven't used it you've
nicely explained your position.
