Is there a utility that will allow me to open an Adobe file in Word 6.
When I attempt to open the PDF file all I get is lines of "code" and
little text. I want to convert a single document so I'm not inclined to
pay the $50 for ScanSoft's product.

There is no utility to open PDF in *any* Word version. You need a third
party OCR application such as the Scansoft product or Adobe Acrobat which is
more than twice the price. You can of course download the free Acrobat
reader to view the file.

And when you have the PDF open in Adobe Reader (the new official name of the
product), you may be able to Copy text and graphics to paste into a Word
document.

Thanks for the response. I have the reader BUT I want to delete some
items from the document before I print it. That's why I'm looking for a
"translator". Guess I'll have to give the Copy and Past route a try.
