Fire up Adobe reader. Click Edit/preferences and make
your choices.

i had this problem.
what i didn't know up front is that if you also have the full version of
acrobat, you have to install all updates under the full version and somehow
they make it to the reader as well.

acrobat, you have to install all updates under the full version and somehow
they make it to the reader as well.

I had version 6.01 installed with 6.02 upgrading it. I decided to move
Acrobat Reader to a different drive, uninstalled it and reinstalled using
just 6.02 (thinking it as a "full" version). It's not. I had problems and
some error messages every time I opened Reader. 6.02 is not a "full"
version apparently. I learned from Adobe's site that 6.01 must be installed
first -- 6.02 upgrades it.
I uninstalled again and reinstalled both 6.01 then 6.02 -- problems
disappeared. Is this relevant to your problem?
