There are quite a few walk-throughs in the doc supplied with Visual Studio.
AFA ADO.NET 3.5 the bulk of the changes have to do with Synchronization
Services SQL Server functionality (table-valued parameters) (I'll have a
talk on these at VSLive SFO), LINQ and support for the Entity Framework
(which I don't endorse). AFA intro material, I think it's important to get
the fundamentals down before venturing off to application writing. Most of
the key points have more to do with architecture and database design
including query authoring and user interfaces than with the way queries are
setup and executed with ADO.
