My Spybot on this mornings' scan found two Trojan C Entries on the Registry
Keys and to remove it I am requested to run the scan again as an
Administrator and remove it then. I am the only person who uses this PC, so
how do I go about scanning it as an Administrator?

Right-click on the spybot program icon and choose "run as Administrator".
You will be prompted for the administrator password.

If this is your computer, it's likely you are an administrator. Click
start - control panel - user accounts and family safety - user accounts.
Then you will see your account name and if you are an administrator or
standard user.

Could be that Spybot itself is requesting to be run as an administrator. In
that case right click on the Spybot Executable( the .exe, not a shortcut)
and select 'Run as Administrator'.

I have no such option when I open the icon. If I had I would not ask the
question.

So your daily-use account is an administrator? (It shouldn't be.......)

"Run as administrator" works for shortcuts too. It doesn't have to be
the .exe file.

Thank you for the reply. I failed to find Spybot Executable. It is not in
the shortcut options nor in All Programs. Should I download it again and
then reinstall it as Administrator?

When you d/l Spybot did you run or save it ?

Thank you for the reply. I cannot find anything on the shortcut icon that
would enable me to run a scan as an Administrator. I always save every
download, but now there is no icon on my Desktop for the Spybot. To add
further to my problem I cannot get in touch with Spybolt to resolve the
problem with the Trojans C. Every time I fill up their questionnaire in
Contacts and click on Send nothing happens. The web page stays as it is. I
tried it several times with the same results. Does anyone have Spybolt's
email address so that I could get in touch with them?
