How can I make IE always run as administrator?
If not I can't print from it.
Can from XP with same AVG8 & ZA.

Yes, but can't this be made permanent to save that extra right click, left
click all the time? It used to work ok before AVG8 &/or SP1

It is a problem with AVG 8, causing the print prob, etc in IE7.
Go to Grisoft's forums, they are supposed to be bringing out a patch to fix
it.

no shit. a way to do that would take care of 9/10ths of my hassles with
vista. shit'll run for like 5 or 6 packages in a row... then... its gotta be
run as administrator. as craptastic as a couple of windows versions have
been... i shudder to think how bad its going to be as gates continues to let
go of the reins.

Create a shortcut to it. Right-click the shortcut and choose Advanced.
Check the "Run as administrator" box.

Then always run it from that shortcut.

I right clacked the shorty - properties - advanced like you said, now will
it work?
Yes it did, BUT, the UAC now asks for permission "unknown programme" IE it
must be having a laugh.
Unless there is another way I think I'll carry on copy & pasting any rare
thing I want to print and using Word.
Thanks anyway

Turn UAC off.

We got along without it for 20 years.

I have been tempted but so far have not. Why did it work until recently?
AV8? SP1?
