administrator unable to run an application that other users can

My Epson scanner software works fine for all users on the XP-PC except for
me, the administrator. When I tried to import an image from the scanner into
Photoshop, I got an error saying the scanner was in use though no other users
were logged on and the software was not apparently running. Any ideas?

Check for the latest version of said software on Epson's web page and
uninstall your version/install the latest *as you*.
