Hello:
I am using Windows 2000 Professional machine. Today, I
need to login that machine with the admin account in order
to install new software and found out that the
Administrator profile is missing. Therefore, I couldn't
login the PC. I am still be able to log in using the
second account with only the Power User right. I don't
understand why the admin profile is missing. Does anybody
have any idea on how to get back the profile so that I can
get into the system with the admin account? Please help
Thanks
Kevin

Dave,
Thanks for your info. However, once I lost my Admin
profile, there is no way for me get in the system using
the admin account to modify the registry using the
instruction from the link you provided. Any other
recommendation is welcome.
Thanks

can you go into control panel whilst in the user you can logon and use
users & passwords to give admin rights to that user, then logoff and
back on to make whatever changes are needed?
