Please help I am running Win XP Pro. I have no administrator password
installed and User Account shows that I am the administrator.
When I try to run the Task Manager, I get a message that it has been
disabled by the Administrator. No matter what I try I am unable to
re-activate the Task Manager. The Taskmgr.exe file exists in the System32
folder of Windows. How can I reactivate the Task manager?
Many thanks
Jimmy

Allows you to enable or disable Task Manager for the Current User
or check this
Disable/Enable the Task Manager (WinXP Pro)
To enable WinXP Pro's TaskManager using Group Policy Editor. This can be
applied to the local policy.
1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Enter gpedit.msc in the Open box and click OK
4. In the Group Policy settings window
.select User Configuration
.select Administrative Templates
.select System
.select Ctrl+Alt+Delete options
.select Remove Task Manager
.double-click the Remove Task Manager option
Since the policy is Remove Task Manager, by disabling the policy, you are
enabling the Task Manager.
