Administrator Password?

I'm still trying to use the Recovery Console to try to
start Windows ....

Now it's asking for an Administrator Password. I never
entered a password when I set up XP. Any suggestions??

Yes, Will. I just hit enter at the prompt and it replied
that was an invalid password. Any ideas?

Hi Debbie,

If you never created an administrator password, and leaving it blank does
not allow you in, you might be the victim of a system installed with
Sysprep.

If so, the workaround is to use the boot floppy set:

Home edition:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?ReleaseID=33290

Professional edition:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?ReleaseID=33291

Hi

If you're running XP Pro, a password would have been set when it was
installed. XP Home's default password is blank, so it still should be,
unless a password has been assigned to it since the installation. See if
the following helps:
