Administrator password

How do you find your administrator password if you cant
remmeber it?And when i try to install it over it asks me
if i want to format the drive. i have very important
information on my drive that i dont want to get rid of.
the things on my drive took me years to do and dont want
to have to start over.

I've had success using the "Offline NT Password & Registry Editor" to change the password for the Administrator account. Daniel Petri also has a good article covering the same topic. Both are found at http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm.
