administrator password

I recently purchased a used gateway computer from a
auction and it has windows 2000 with a administrator
password. I have no clue what the password is. I purchased
a new copy of windows 2000 pro. and need to find out how
to install/format hard drive.
 
You should be able to set up the machine to boot from CD and then insert an
Operating System install disk and it will give you the option to format the
machine.
