I am having print spooler app problem and was going to try
to have XP repair its self, but it wants an Adminstrator
password to repair. I have tried the computer admin
password but it doesn't work. Anyone know what it wants?

I have a similar problem. After installing SP1 on XP Home the OS wont
boot. I tried using the microsoft diskettes to repair it but am
prompted for an administrator password. There is no such user on the
machine and never has been. What exactly is it looking for (or who)? I
have tried all the other registered users who are set up as
administrators to not avail. Can anyone help.

Anvil.

Hi Anvil,

In WinXP Home, you must boot into 'Safe Mode' in order to see the 'Administrator' account.
