:
: I have added a user to the administrators group, on a Win2K, client-server
network.
Local or global?
: The user can not install programs. Get msg. that he doesn't have the
rights. Why?
Probably because he doesn't have rights.
You added a user to which administrators group? where?
If you have a domain user, logging into a workstation, on a W2K domain, that
is in the Domain Admins group, and that workstation has a domain computer
account, then it should work unless you have set other restrictions.
I would guess either the computer doesn't have a domain account or the
logged on user of the workstation is not a domain user.
I have also seen people create local users on workstations, add that user to
the local administrator's group, logon with their DOMAIN user account and
then wonder why they do not have admin rights.
Please respond back and let us know what you've found out.
