I have a Dell workstation that came with an OEM install of
Win2K with SP4 now installed. As the administrator, I've
tried to install Shockwave and Flash players, but I get an
error message saying I do not have sufficient permission
to perform the install. It also says to attempt the
install from an administrator account, which mine is, but
I've also tried it from the "Administrator" account with
the same result. Dell's Tech Support has been unable to
come up with a reason for it, and their suggestion for a
fix is to reinstall. My problem with that is I lose all
the OEM installed software I don't have the disks for.
Anyone have any suggestions?
