Using XP Pro. Yesterday turned system on and got the blue
screen that wanted to scan my disk etc for errors.
Reported that my directory of administrative tools was
entirely unreadable. System went through its paces and
windows came up fine. However, if you go to control
panel, administrative tools and click there is nothing
there. No response. How to fix. This unit runs stand
alone although hooked up to an external router for DSL.
I would really like to solve this without having to
totally reinstall windows and reinstall all my
applications. That would take a good two days.
About backups - I have my data backed up but not the
whole drive currently.
