Hello,
We have a server where on almost any item we try to open in the
"Administrative Tools" menu, the foolowing error pops up:
"Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied"
The only change made to the server prioer to this error showing up was the
removal of "Sharepoint Team Server", which removed the following registry
key:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Web Server"
but I do not know how or why that would affect the operation of most of the
"Administrative Tools" (or even if that is a cause).
Any help you can provide in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, a search on Google/Deja did not turn up anything specific to
what I am experiencing, although there are a plethora of posts and articles
about the "Access to specified device..." error.
I look forward to hearing from you.
